My Mideast Punchlines: Who are the real Zombies?

Hordes of flesh-eating zombies taking over the world are okay – as long as you don’t mention the word ‘Israel’. The movie World War Z, starring Brad Pitt, has Jerusalem as the last refuge of Mankind. An important part of the film takes place in the Holy City.

Paramount Pictures believes that mentioning the capital of the Jewish state would horrify Turkish audiences. So they took the word out of the movie and replaced it with the the words ‘Middle East’.

Small FistObviously the truth is not paramount for this particular film company, so I’ve used a suitable antonym for a new trade name: Subordinate Pictures.
