My Mideast Punchlines: counting heads….

An Egyptian activist who has advocated for the assassination of Israelis was nominated for the EU’s prestigious Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. Alaa Abd El Fattah was nominated in spite of (or maybe because of) a tweet saying that “there is a critical number of Israelis that we need to kill and then the problem is solved.”

Small FistWell, Mr El Fattah, do you mean a few of Israel’s leaders, or the whole population of eight million? If it’s a question of head counts, then the EU will probably nominate Jihadi John for next year’s prize.

  1. A human rights activist executed in Mosul by IS. An Israeli Jewish woman who supports the Palestinians thrown out of Bir Zeit Uni because she is Jewish. Feed a snake and it will bite you. I have waited a long time for the snake to bite!
