Executioners are in demand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A civil service job portal in the kingdom advertised for eight new beheaders to keep up with the increasing number of death sentences being handed down by Saudi judges.
The ad on the site says the job requires no special qualifications and also includes the task of amputating limbs for lesser offenses. The successful candidate would be a “religious functionary” and garner pay at the lower end of civil-service jobs.
Even the most useless of marketeers would know that the ads are being posted in the wrong place. The Islamic State website is the de rigeur forum to advertise. You might say IS is ahead of the game when it comes to beheadings. No queries, no qualms, no question.
