Go Back To Where You Came From is an award-winning (!) Australian TV documentary series, which follows two parties, each of six Australians and all having differing opinions on Australia’s asylum seeker debate, being taken on a journey in reverse to that which refugees have taken to reach Australia.
The latest offering was to have them taken to Syria, where they were shot at by Isis. Yes, you read that correctly.
The producers must have been off their heads to have come up with this idea. And if they weren’t, then, given half a chance, Isis would have obliged them. Indeed, the bird-brains that were the contestants were in danger of being eviscerated by Jihadi John and his cohorts, who would have thrown their gizzards to the four winds. I love Aussies — except when they beat us at cricket — but I think all that walking around on their heads Down Under has addled their brains.
