My Mideast Punchlines: well, bugger me!

More than 60 artists, including four Pulitzer Prize winners and other prominent writers, actors, directors and playwrights, have signed an open letter calling on New York’s Lincoln Center to cancel performances of a play of David Grossman’s novel To the End of the Land co-produced by two Israeli theatre companies and backed by the Israeli government.

The usual suspects, film director Ken Loach and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, are among the signatories, which tells you all to know really. Another signatory, unknown to me, is an Irish chap named Niall Buggy. I suggest they all climb aboard him and bugger off to that hinterland of useful idiots who serve the Palestinian cause in the most extraordinarily banal ways.
