The European Court of Justice has ruled that Hamas should remain on the European Union’s list of designated terror organizations, referring the case back to a lower court.
Details at the Times of Israel and The Independent, and the Court of Justice itself. The Jerusalem Post explains why the ruling matters:
The listing is important because it keeps various Hamas funds frozen, limits Hamas from openly doing business in the EU and limits the mobility of Hamas-affiliated persons.
Well, waddya know, judges who aren’t stupid. A blow for Hamas and for terror. Let’s just hope the ruling doesn’t go the other way when the issue next goes before the beaks. Meanwhile, all Hamas has to do is stop killing Jews and cease calling for the destruction of the Jewish state. Don’t hold your breath.
